The M&A Survey

The M&A Survey identifies the recurring elements in M&A transactions and the actual terms and conditions commonly used in those transactions. Read more...

The M&A Survey is based on 156 transactions completed in the period 2009 – 2012 with a total deal value of almost EUR 9,5 billion. The transactions are divided in three categories: (i) deals with a transaction value less than EUR 10 million, (ii) transaction values between EUR 10 million and EUR 100 million and (iii) transaction values higher than EUR 100 million. The confidentiality of the reported transactions is at all times guaranteed and fully respected. Participants are not asked to provide names or other details which could prejudice the anonymous character of the inquiry. The questionnaire however contains a safety measure to avoid double-counting.

The third M&A Survey is realized with the cooperation of the following investment companies, financial service providers and law firms: Ackermans & van Haaren, Allen & Overy, Altius, Altra Law, Ambos NBGO, Antaxius, Arts, Cleeren & Vennoten, Ashurst, Bird & Bird, Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, Clifford Chance, contrast, Creafund, Curia, De Wolf & Partners, Dechert, Declerck Leterme & Partners, Derycke & Vandenberghe, DLA Piper, Dumon, Sablon & Vanheeswijck, Eubelius, Eversheds, Field Fisher Waterhouse, Gimv, GSJ, ING Bank, K law, Laurius, Liedekerke, Linklaters, Loyens & Loeff, Lydian, Marx Van Ranst Vermeersch & Partners, Mertens & De Paepe, Monard D'Hulst, NautaDutilh, PMV, Quinz, Saffelberg Investments, Simont Braun, Stibbe, Titeca Accountancy, Van Bael & Bellis, Van Gompel & Renette, Vandelanotte Corporate Finance, Vervisch Overnamebegeleiding and VWEW.
